Ralph Gilles and me, we are interested in He3 position sensitive detectors,
diameter 1 inch, active length 12 inch. Project is a structure powder
diffractometer.
There are two issues to clearify:
1. Company LND recommends to coat the internal cathode surface of their
aluminum tubes with activated carbon. Is there any experience why this is
useful and how those detectors behave compared to non-coated ones?
2. What is your experience on reliability and durability on He3 detectors of
company LND and the same to company Reuter Stokes?

Information is cordially welcome!

Regards,

Bernhard
