Job openings for the new neutron source FRM-II, Garching, Germany

The Technische Universitaet Muenchen is building the new german
neutron source in Garching which should be operational in 2001. For
the building of two new instruments postdoctoral positions are
available immediately. Expertise in the areas of neutron and/or x-ray
scattering is desired. The candidate will be the responsible scientist
for the

      Material science diffractometer (project in collaboration with
      the Hahn-Meitner-Institut, Berlin group Prof. Reimers)

or    
      Instrument for scattering with very cold neutrons (project in
      collaboration with the institute E21, physics department of the 
      TUM, Prof. Böni)

Furthermore we are looking for an 

      engineer or technician for the construction of the
      time-of-flight spectrometer (project in collaboration with the
      institute E13, physics department of the TUM, Prof. Petry.)

Appointment will initially be for up to five years with the
possibility of a permanent position.
