Dear colleagues,

Due to a high number of requests the abstract deadline for

MECA SENS VI: 6th International Conference on Mechanical Stress Evaluation
by Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation

has been extended to 23 May 2011.

You are invited to be an active part of this conference by submitting your
abstract to one of the following topics:

• Developments of measurement methods and instrumentation
• Material processing and residual stresses
• Influence of residual stresses on physical and mechanical properties of
materials and components
• Measurement and assessment of residual microstresses and intergranular
stresses
• Residual strains and stresses in complex materials, e.g. multiphase
materials and biomaterials
• Residual stresses in thin films and microcomponents
• Industrial applications of residual stress analysis using synchrotron
radiation, neutrons, and X-rays
• Complementary methods for materials analysis with photons and neutrons:
Imaging, Texture, etc.

Important: We recommend to book your conference accommodation well in
advance! Due to the Solar Energy Fair 2011 taking place at the same time in
Hamburg, there might be a shortage of hotel capacities at that time.

If you have any further questions please contact the organizing agency
Conventus (by phone at +49 (0)3641 311 63 66 or by email to
mecasens at conventus.de).

I would appreciate your active support and would be very delighted to
welcome you to Hamburg!

With best regards,
