A Special Issue is being edited by *Quantum Beam Science* (QuBS, ISSN:
2412-382X,
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/qubs ), an international, peer-reviewed,
open access journal published by MDPI, Switzerland. The Article
Processing Charge is waived for well-prepared manuscripts submitted to
this special issue. Articles are peer-reviewed and will be published
shortly after acceptance while we aim a general deadline on 2018/03/31.

The journal QuBS involves in the application of quantum beams for the
study and characterization of materials in their widest sense, as well
as developments of quantum beam sources, instrumentation and facilities.
The journal publishes reviews, original research articles, and
communications; there is no restriction on the length of the papers.
This special issue focuses on Residual stress measurements, Load
partitioning, Textures, Special geometry and time resolved,
Micro-mechanical, Strain and orientation dependence of structural and
functional materials. Quantum beam techniques include neutron
scattering, synchrotron radiation and muon spectroscopy.
