Scattering Science Division at ORNL is now accepting applications for a PostDoc
Fellowship in the Triple Axis Group.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-variant:small-caps'>Work Direction and
Interfaces: <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Reports to the NSSD Triple Axis Group Leader. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Conducts scientific research using neutron scattering. The
areas of research may include, but are not limited to, magnetism, strongly
correlated electron systems, chemistry and materials science <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Assists the HFIR triple axis instrument scientists in support
of the neutron scattering user program. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Works with scientists at NSSD, ORNL and external
institutions, in the development and conduction of collaborative scientific
research programs. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-variant:small-caps'>Qualifications:</span></b>
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Recent Ph.D. in any of the Physical Sciences. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Strong background in hard condensed matter physics as
evidenced by an outstanding record of publications in top peer-reviewed
journals. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Strong interpersonal, and written and oral communication
skills. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Desire to work in a team environment on technically challenging
problems. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Experience in inelastic neutron scattering is highly
desirable.<o:p></o:p></p>
