Dear Colleague,<br>

<div align="justify">We would like to wish you an happy and prosperous
new year 2010.<br>
<br>
As you may know, the 11th edition of the International Conference
on the Structure of Non-Crystalline Materials (NCM11) will be
held June 27th - July 2nd, 2010, in Paris (France). The location will
be in the "Couvent des Cordeliers", in the main center of
the Quartier Latin, close to the Seine River. The conference will
include five days of conference talks, including a
visit to Parisian monuments with historical stained glasses and a
half-day excursion to large user facilities, the Synchrotron SOLEIL and
the neutron reactor facility LLB, both located in the southern suburb
of Paris.<br>

- Structure of glasses and melts: experiment and theory, short- and
medium-range order, nucleation and crystallization processes,
nanostructural and microstructural features<br>
- Nano-crystalline materials, sol-gel and heterogeneous systems<br>
- Glass surface<br>
- Structural evolution under forcing conditions: high
temperature/pressure, irradiation, photo-structural changes,
polyamorphism and reversibility windows<br>
- Relationships between structure and properties: physico-chemical
properties, nuclear glasses, specialty materials...<br>
- Dynamical properties<br>
- Relaxation phenomena<br>
- Influence of materials elaboration<br>

<b>Experimental and numerical methods</b><br>
- Scattering and diffraction methods (x-ray, neutron)<br>
- Solid-state spectroscopic methods (x-ray absorption spectroscopy, NMR
and EPR, vibrational, UV-visible...)<br>
- Microscopy (electron, near-field, ...)<br>
- Numerical modeling including ab initio approaches and data modeling<br>

The materials concerned include oxide (silica/silicate, borate...),
chalcogenide, halide and metallic glasses and melts; novel glasses, ...<br>

The conference fee (estimated tentatively at 400¤ for regular
participants and 250¤ for students) will give a full
access to the 5 days of conference
talks and poster sessions and will include the abstract booklet,
refreshments during breaks, lunches as well as the Welcoming Buffet.<br>
