the United States’ highest flux reactor-based neutron source for
condensed matter research (the High Flux Isotope Reactor) and the world's most
intense pulsed, accelerator-based neutron source (the Spallation Neutron

preferred, and a minimum seven years of experience in stress analysis using
three dimensional finite element codes.   A sound understanding of
structural mechanics and the application of numerical methods is
required.  Experience in the analysis of ASME pressure vessels, and/or
application of fracture mechanics, is desirable.  Candidate should have
the ability to quickly grasp complex technical problems, have good analytical
and computer skills, and possess the written and verbal communication skills
necessary to function as in a key team role. <o:p></o:p></p>
