Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) invites applications for <span
style='color:#1F497D'>a </span>Postdoctoral Neutron Imaging Research
Scientist.  With the United States’ highest flux reactor-based
neutron source for condensed matter research (the High Flux Isotope Reactor)
and the world’s most intense pulsed, accelerator-based neutron source
(the Spallation Neutron Source), ORNL is becoming the world’s foremost
center for neutron science.  Research at these facilities encompasses the
physical, chemical, materials, biological, and medical sciences and will
provide opportunities for up to 2,000 researchers each year from industry,
research facilities, and universities all over the world.  <o:p></o:p></span></p>

Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Neutron Science or related field,
involving the use of neutron (or X-ray) imaging techniques; 2) Strong written
and oral communication skills and the desire to work in a team environment on
technically challenging problems. At least 3 years of experience using an x-ray
and/or neutron imaging beamline and experience in software reconstruction,
visualization and quantitative analysis is required.  </span>Applicants
cannot have received the most recent degree more than five years prior to the
date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting
their appointment.<o:p></o:p></p>
