This initiative is viewed as a critical part of keeping the neutron scattering instruments at ORNL on the cutting edge of design and scientific functionality and keeping them competitive worldwide. This program is designed to provide an environment in which early-career scientists and technicians can be a part of innovative concepts for neutron-related instrumentation, while helping end users develop proposals, conduct experiments, and analyze data.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;line-height:normal'>This is an Instrument Associate position offered through the ORISE CDP with an initial appointment of three years with a possible extension of up to two additional years. Direct experience working on neutron scattering related instruments and software is highly desirable. Must be capable of working with scientists and engineers from verbal or written instructions.
