<span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#454442">The incumbent will supervise the Research Facilities Operations (RFO) Group responsible for the design, improvement, construction, multi-year upgrade, and maintenance of the research
 facilities at the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR). Group leadership encompasses a broad array of management responsibilities, including but not limited to leading the development of new or upgraded neutron instrumentation at the NCNR, ensuring safe
 operation of all neutron instruments, establishing and maintaining organizational performance measures, financial resource and budget management, employee supervision and development, resource acquisition and monitoring, interacting with internal/external
 NCNR stakeholders and other federal agencies regarding trends, performance, and policies of U.S. neutron facilities, participating in and proactively responding to NCNR advisory committees and panels, and ensuring that the actions of the group are responsive
 to NIST and the national science community. Development of strategic plans relevant to NCNR and NIST goals. All of these activities serve to ensure sustained reliability and world-class performance of the NCNR in its provision of neutron measurement capabilities
 to partner operating units at NIST and the wider industrial and academic U.S. research community.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
