neutron instrument HEIMDAL at ESS. The long term goal is to become Instrument Responsible, once the instrument has moved into the operations phase. The Instrument Lead Scientist will work closely together with the Instrument Lead Engineer forming an instrument
team. The Instrument Lead Scientist and Instrument Lead Engineer, together with a core team of specialists from the instrument consortium at ESS in Lund will define the scientific specifications of the instrument. The Instrument Lead Scientist provides scientific
project leadership, including defining scope scientific and initial hot commissioning experiments.
