Description of Institution

The NSRRC is building a 3GeV synchrotron in Hsinchu and has two outstations, one for neutrons in Sydney Australia and one for X-rays at Spring-8 in Japan.
The Bragg Institute, within ANSTO currently operates 14 instruments with both thermal and cold neutrons and leads Australia in the use of neutron scattering techniques.

  1. Specifically for the cold 3-Axis spectrometer, SIKA that has just entered the user program
  2. Instrument scientist that may work on SIKA or another inelastic neutron machine that suites his/her science.
  3. Instrument scientist on one of the SANS machines at ANSTO.
Although these scientists are integrated into the Bragg Institute fully, they will be expected to assist cultivate the very small and young neutron community in Taiwan.
Approximately 30% of their time will be available for personal research.
