1997 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NEUTRON SCATTERING
                AUGUST 17-21, 1997, TORONTO, CANADA

              Abstract Deadline April 15, 1997

The 1997 International Conference on Neutron Scattering will be
held in Toronto over four days in August of 1997, with a half day off
for an excursion to Niagara Falls. The Conference brings together
scientists from around the world who share an interest in the
application of neutron scattering techniques to problems in condensed
matter science. It will provide a forum for the presentation and
discussion of recent developments in the application of these techniques
to physics, chemistry, biology, materials science and industrial problems.
It follows in the tradition established by the previous meetings: ICNS '94
in Sendai, ICNS '91 in Oxford, ICNS '88 in Grenoble, ICNS '85 in
Santa Fe, and ICNS '82 in Hakone.

The abstract deadline for ICNS'97 is April 15, 1997, the final date for
receipt of abtracts by the Program Chair John Axe. The details about
abstract submission can be found at the conference website at:

http://www.physics.utoronto.ca/icns/icns.html.

Which also has abstract templates and abstract submission forms which can
be downloaded. There is also information about the companions program with
links to sites of interest in and around Toronto. As more information about
the program becomes available we will be updating the web pages.

***************Young Scientists Grants***************************************

We have funding available to assist with the expenses for students and post-
