LANSCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS -- DUE MARCH 27, 1998

The Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) is now accepting proposals
for the 1998 August-December run cycle.  Proposals are due March 27, 1998.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION AND OPTIONS
For the first time, proposals can be submitted directly via the World Wide
Web.  Forms, information, and step-by-step details on the various
submission options are available at
http://www.lansce.lanl.gov/prop_process.html

EXPERIMENT REPORTS
For both continuation and new proposals it is requested that you attach
your Experiment Report(s) from any recent experiment(s) (last three years)
on related topics conducted at LANSCE.  LANSCE policy is not to accept new
proposals when Experiment Reports from past experiments have not been
submitted.  Experiment Report forms can be downloaded from the Web and
opened by most word processing software packages at
http://www.lansce.lanl.gov/exprep.html

YOUR PUBLICATION RECORD
The Experiment Report form has space to list your publications.  Please
give references for your publications of the last three years resulting
from experiments carried out at LANSCE. Review committees will follow the
publication of experimental work closely.  PLEASE do not forget to send
reprints of all publications related to experiments performed at LANSCE to
the User Office (address below).  Be sure to indicate the
instrument(s)/flight path(s) used.

PROPOSAL REVIEW
The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) will meet to review proposals sometime
late-April 1998.  Review results will be disseminated to Principal
Investigators approximately three to four weeks following the PAC meeting.
