Steve Shapiro and John Parise want to remind everyone that they are
organising a Symposium in honour of Dave Cox at BNL on 17th December.  I
have put the programme and response form on

Plans are nearly complete for Dave’s ‘Fest’ on December 17, 1999.  Many of
you who plan to come have not responded.  This mailing will serve as a
reminder to return your response form as soon as possible.  Below is the
agenda for the afternoon of talks to be held in the Physics Department
Large Seminar Room::

          Mixed Valency in Superconducting and Magnetic Perovskites."

7:00      Cocktails and Dinner at Berkner Hall

The cost, including dinner, will be $40/ person.  Please complete and

should be made payable to Brookhaven Science Associates and  sent to
Sharon.  After dinner, there will be time for informal and uncensored
comments about Dave’s life and his contributions to science.
