Post doctoral position at Institute for Energy Technology (IFE),
Kjeller, Norway.

Physics Department at IFE invites applicants for one post doctoral position/

Norway
focusing on Energy and Nuclear technologies. The staff consists of about 520
permanent employees.

The Physics Department is responsible for the Neutron Laboratory using
neutrons from
the JEEP II research reactor at IFE. At present the instrumentation consists
of a Powder Neutron Diffractometer, A Small Angle Neutron Scattering
Instrument,
Time-of-Flight Spectrometer, Triple-axis Neutron Diffractometer and a
High-Flux
2-axis Diffractometer. The scientific activity of the Department is focused
on complex soft
condensed matter and materials for hydrogen storage in addition to neutron
diffraction
experiments in collaboration with national and international groups.
At present we are about 30 people in the department.

We have a received a grant from The Research Council of Norway together with
University
of Oslo for a new powder neutron diffractometer. The goal is a
state-of-the-art
powder neutron diffractometer focusing on high resolution and high degree
