Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Nuclear Physics

                   The University of New Hampshire

The Nuclear Physics Group at the University of New Hampshire has an
opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with interests in
electromagnetic and weak probes of nuclear and nucleon structure. The
nuclear physics group at UNH currently consists of three faculty members:
Maurik Holtrop, John Calarco and Bill Hersman. The group has made well
recognized contributions to research in electron scattering at
both the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility and the nearby
MIT-Bates Accelerator Laboratory. New initiatives are underway at
TJNAF as well as at both the High Intensity Gamma Source at Duke and the
Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge. It is expected that the candidate
will contribute to and strengthen this program. A Ph.D. in nuclear or
particle physics or related field is required. The initial appointment is
for one year and can be extended based on mutual satisfaction and
continued funding. Send applications and three letters of reference to
John Calarco, Department of Physics, University of New Hampshire, Durham,
NH 03824}. The position will remain open until filled. Address inquiries
to
calarco at unh.edu. The University of New Hampshire is an equal
opportunity employer. Women and minority candidates are especially
encouraged to apply.
