[Neutron] SINQ: Special Proposal Deadline and Call for Publications

   -- SPECIAL SINQ PROPOSAL DEADLINE AND CALL FOR PUBLICATIONS --

The next DEADLINE for the submission of beam time requests for the Swiss
spallation neutron source 'SINQ' (http://sinq.web.psi.ch) will be:

PERIOD:
-------
This is a special call for proposals for the beam time period I/08
between 01/05/2008 and 31/08/2008 and from then onwards (long-term  
proposals)
ONLY FOR THE FOLLOWING INSTRUMENTS:
TASP, RITA-II, SANS-II, POLDI, TRICS, NEUTRA, ICON

The next regular deadline for all SINQ instruments will be as usual  
May 15, 2008.


PROPOSAL-SUBMISSION:

You are invited to submit either long-term or short-term proposals.
New users are kindly asked to contact the instrument responsibles before
submitting a proposal to discuss instrumental options and reasonable
beam time requests. Guidelines for the proposal submission and more  
detailed
information can be found on the SINQ webpages:

SINQ is part of the 'NMI3-Access Program' within 'EU Framework  
Program FP6'.
Users from eligible countries might be supported by reimbursement of  
travel

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR PUBLICATIONS:

You are kindly asked to register your SINQ related publications
within DUO. In particular we need the information about the
2007 publications for the annual reports. Please use the
link 'publications' from the DUO main menu and follow the
online instructions. The DUO publication tool is easy to use
and self explaining but please don't hesitate to contact us
if anything remains unclear: sinq at psi.ch
You can use your DUO publication records as a reference in
your new proposals.
