Data Acquisition Engineer

3 Year Fixed Term, Full Time

Salary range $89K to $94K (plus 15.4% super)

ANSTO is one of Australia's foremost scientific research and development

the Australian community.

 

Bragg Institute is an international leader in Neutron Beam and X-ray
Science, recognised for the excellence of its scientific endeavours, its
facilities, its techniques and its people. The Bragg Institute was set
up in 2002, with the explicit intent of fostering strong interactions
with academic and commercial research organizations both within
Australia and overseas.

 

Due to extensive expansion of the Bragg Institute, we currently have a
vacancy for a Data Acquisition Engineer. This role will deliver high
performance data acquisition electronics and software for the neutron
beam instruments and be responsible for managing this process through
the engineering lifecycle - design, manufacture, procurement,
installation, commissioning and maintenance. 

 

You will be degree qualified in Bachelor of Electronic Engineering or
Computer Science with extensive experience in developing real-time data
acquisition systems, as well as experience in design and configuration
of FPGA based hardware, PCI device drivers and histogramming software.

 

To be considered you must have extensive experience in the build,
configuration and deployment of applications on the Linux operating
system, and C and C++ applications using software development
methodologies.
