[Neutron] 12th PSI Summer School on Condensed Matter Research

Registration is open for the 12th PSI Summer School on Condensed Matter Research!

This year the school's topic will be "Materials - Structure and Magnetism".

The school will take place between August 17-23, 2013 at the Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz, Switzerland 
followed by a hands on training course at the PSI large scale facilities on August 24-26, 2013.

Scope:
The PSI summer school 2013 is dedicated to some of the main topics addressed at large scale user facilities 
such as neutron, muon or synchrotron photon sources: Materials - structure and magnetism. 
International experts and PSI staff members will introduce and deepen your knowledge not only about these 
scientific topics but also about the main methods applied to understand the phenomena, 
which are presently at the forefront of modern solid state physics and chemistry. 
The school is fully open to the national and non-national public and the language of the school is English.

Practical training:
Following the school a practical training is offered at PSI. It will allow a limited number of participants to get 
hands-on experience with state-of-the-art instrumentation using the photon (SLS), neutron (SINQ) and muon (SMuS) facilities at PSI.

Grants:
A limited number of grants will be available to cover accommodation and the fee for both the school and the practical training for 
selected PhD students and postdocs. In order to apply for a grant please send your application electronically to the
