Dear Colleagues,

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc to join the team of the polarized diffuse scattering time-of-flight neutron spectrometer DNS at the Heinz-Maier-Leibnitz-Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching as an instrument scientist,

- PhD degree in Physics, Materials Physics
- Strong background in experimental condensed matter physics, particularly in magnetism and/or strongly correlated electrons
- Experience in neutron or X-ray scattering
- Experience in high-pressure scattering experiments or in time-of-flight neutron spectroscopic techniques with skills and interests in computer programming such as Python would be an advantage

In addition to support the user operation and further instrument developments, potential candidates are expected to actively perform own research in a close cooperation with the JCNS Institute JCNS-2 in the fields of frustrated magnets and topological quantum materials, nanomagnetism and functional correlated electron materials.
