The laboratory was established in 2018 under the leadership of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in partnership with the Chinese Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) and the city of Dongguan; with an initial, first phase funding of RMB ¥5 billion (approx. US $750M) provided by the city of Dongguan. The ideal candidate will have<span style='color:black;background:white'> a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Chemistry, </span><span style='color:#333333;background:white'>Biophysics</span><span style='color:black;background:white'>, Material Sciences, Engineering or related fields, and a proven scientific record. Priority will be given to candidates with experiences in neutron and synchrotron scattering sciences and techniques. Exceptional candidates with experiences in related fields will also be considered. Candidates are expected to be able to effectively communicate with various instrument construction and support teams, as well as with the Chinese neutron scattering user community at large. The ability to communicate in Chinese is strongly preferred.
