The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science JCNS offers access to dedicated neutron scattering instruments at:
Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum in Garching, Germany,
Institute Laue Langevin in Grenoble, France,
and Spallation Neutron Source in Oak Ridge, USA.
In order to apply for beam time, you are invited to submit a proposal. The MLZ international panel reviews the submitted proposals twice per year, and recommends the beam time allocation on the basis of their scientific merit. JCNS offers beam time at its MLZ instruments to scientists from all over the world regardless of the country in which they are conducting their research, while beam time at the ILL and SNS instruments is provided to German affiliated users only.
The next deadline for proposal submission is
1 February 2014 for JCNS instruments at ILL and SNS
2 May 2014 for JCNS instruments at the FRM II, ILL and SNS
Based on these calls for proposals, beam time will not be allocated before the second half of 2014.
Detailed information on how to get and use the beamtime at the JCNS outstations is available through this website or at the following links:
