Forschungszentrum Jülich, together with project partners from science and industry, will receive around € 4 million from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 framework programme for research and innovation to develop a more efficient detector system for research with neutrons. The aim of the SoNDe project is a prototype of a new generation of detectors which are necessary to make scientifically optimal use of modern neutron sources.
