VITESS 3.3 released

The version 3.3 of the simulation package VITESS has been released. It can be downloaded from the internet site http://www.helmholtz-berlin.de/vitess.
The main new feature is the addition of the ESS butterfly moderator characteristics in the SOURCE module. Apart from several bug fixes, there are some other improvements:- a more realistic detection time is calculated in the DETECTOR module for solid layer area detectors
- the SAMPLE_NXS library is updated and an example instrument added
- the option to write zero entries in the matrix output of EVAL_ELAST2 is added for easier handling with Matlab
- the filter module can be used combining the parameters by ‘AND OR AND’ (in addition to ‘AND’ and ‘OR’)
